Paula's that is..

I guess the one Brother who cleans, and would do it for free, didn't impress last time.

I've worked for enough of them now for my reputation to have spread.

It's a 2500 SF building with mostly CGD. The old guy took 4 hours to not impress them.

I told her I would like to see it in person first before qouting but after hanging up I thought it would be a great opportunity to get a better window seat in hell by running my Trinity over it so I offered to do it for $200..

I see suppose I could have offered for free..

But I'm really not a big fan.......

It’s amazing how some places feel that everything should be free. I guess the aggravating part is they don’t want to ask for a free job. They want to guilt you into offering it. I think most decent cleaners don’t mind doing a free one every now and then. But it would more courteous for the customer to ask nicely for it.

JW do not guilt anyone into cleaning. There is just no shortage of volunteer because its considered contribution. But they will pay outside services no one is competent enough. If i was gonna clean the KH, i would give my hours for free, but charge them chems and truck time.

I didn’t mean them specifically. Just sometimes organizations in general that hope for free services when they have no trouble paying for it.

I've done a lot work for various churches and even one Kingdom Hall. I may not agree with the religion but the people are always sincere in what they are doing. Even though the organizations may be wealthy it doesn't always trickle down to the individual buildings. I have a United Church building I clean the tile floors in. I do it cheap because they use it as soup kitchen, feeding the homeless every Thursday. The pastor usually recruits a couple of guys who are recovering alcholics or drug addicts to help me. They are glad to make a little money and I feel good that I could help. What I lose on the church, I often get back on referrals.

And the RMDH does?
Didn't say that. In fact, i wasn't thinking that. I always thought that RMDH cleaning was a community outreach. To get cleaners locally to help out and promote positive environment.

No, you were thinking that. I know it. You need to immediately write a check to RMDC or St Jude and repent.

We clean for a lot of churches.

Absolutely delightful clients, happy to see you, no pets, no kids running around, they pay, most have easy water hook ups, "generally" they try to keep things clean, empty during the week, etc....

What else ya want!

Watching those St. Jude org commercial makes me feel horrible. I would ride short bus when i was young with kids with cancer. They would eventually stop riding bus and stay home till i received the news of their passing. Bus driver would ask us to write something in condolences cards.

That ain't guilt trip. They are suffering. So i do donate to st jude and was proud to clean rmhc. I really want to go again.
