I do a few larger jobs a year.
This year, 2 of them both fall on the same weekend.....
This weekend.
I did 1/2 of a 6 story law office yesterday, and tonight, at 11:01 PM I do a large out of town job.
I hate working weekends. They are reserved for family, house/yard work, and resting.
I know by 5:59 AM tomorrow morning, I’ll feel as if I’ve been out drinking all night.....
Unfortunately, the only drinks I’ll be having are some coffee, and lots, and lots of water....
Guess I have to look at the bright side, this job tonight only comes around spring and fall....
The second 1/2 of the law office is booked in 2 weeks....
BUT, I’ve got another large one the weekend after that...
Boo.

I worked 9-1 today. Had to reset the big conference room for an event early tomorrow. Students stayed until midnight cleaning up last night so we could set this AM.
Guess you are missing being a co-owner at Chavez right about now...
You probably thought that getting the job position you did, there would be no weekend work.
Yup, working the weekend SUCKS!

This is nothing compared to what I've had in the past.

Im at the point in life where I usually don't know or care what day of the week it is..

I'll be cleaning a realtor office on Easter morning
I’ll be running around hiding chocolate eggs around the house, real eggs around the yard, and making eggs Benedict, all before 6 am on Easter morning.....
And thinking about my next business venture....

I gave up most of my commercial work and only do the remaining commercial during regular business hours and I don't work Saturdays or Sundays or Holidays ever. I just don't need the money that bad any more.

I shouldn’t complain. I’m in the building phase of my business still.
I know my children don’t understand, but we all know it has to be done sometimes.
On the bright side, I only work a 3 day week this week, and then have 4 days off for Easter weekend.
Bring on the chocolate ...

It doesn't matter to me what day the calendar says, work is work.

I just spend the money on the kids. They all come over and we go to dinner at least once a week. We go to movies regularly or dad just slips them some cash.

I'd be working in the yard for free anyway! 🙂

I only work Saturdays if one of my favorite realtors needs something done that I can't work in during the week. No commercial here but churches and a few offices.

Oh Lordy, now you’re starting to do what we do. On Easter Saturday, all my churches have vigils till midnight. Then they go to candlelight service. I send a crew at each church to clean up after vigil, then set additional 300 chairs for overflow for Easter.
We’ve had 6 weeks of Lenten dinners on Friday nights at all 4 churches. That will be over, Thank You Jesus!!! We set up and take down daily, but get paid by the piece😀

This time of year we flip the big conference rooms daily. Weekends put down and then take up the dance floors. It's been a crazy month and its getting busier. lol

This AM after the flip.

There you go. While you were drying out some 5 story building or sending out 5 trucks
some where we were doing turnarounds. Weddings, Easter, graduations, blah, blah🤷🏼‍♂️
And sometimes we’ve had to dry some out in the mist of all of that😟😬😀
