We started the machine, first job of the day. I could smell that faint smell of burning plastic. I searched the machine but didn’t pull the covers. I thought a plastic tab blew on the machine somewhere. We went to work and an hour later it shut down. My first thought was , no way it’s full. I drained and tried to start it. Nope. I bypassed the tank float, nope. I pulled the covers and there was the smell. A wiring harness part of the exhaust. The pull tie broke holding the harness directly above the exhaust. I separated the 4 wires and tried to start it again. Nope. I figured it had to blow a fuse somewhere so I quickly checked. Nope. I texted legend brand and he said it should run even without the harness. He had me check for spark which I didn’t have. He said the 15 amp fuse was probably blown. I pulled it and looked and sure enough it was. I hate those mini fuses, we aren’t all 20. You shouldn’t need glasses to check a fuse. Back up and running very quickly. I would suggest using a metal cable holder on the frame for those wires. I did a quick check and every pull tie broke with little effort. I believe this was the first time this machine has stopped running. It’s almost 4K hrs so that’s pretty impressive.
