Our industry has been knocking off products (and using very similar names) for a long time. I won't make mention of who they are, but they are not just the "come lately' ones.

In Mark's case, its different.

What the copiers don't understand is that Mark's brand is Mark's character. You can put similar, or the same, juice in a bottle.

You can't transfer a value system at all.

Am I happy that Mark competes with me for a slice of the carpet cleaners' supply pie? Not at all.

Am I proud he is my friend?

That's Legend Brands issue. I haven't a doubt but that they will act upon it.

When I get out of the shower and wipe the condensation off of the mirror, I'm looking at the biggest problem I have in my business (and my life....)

When I figure out how to deal with everything he does to get in the way of a productive business and life, I'll start to worry about everyone else.

So far, the reflection in the mirror continues to be my worst adversary

I have been giving the Papi the benefit of the doubt up to yesterday in regards to his marketing and branding efforts, and while I only saw his fans instigating the race card issues that have been raised on FB when negative comments or reviews take place, I now feel that he was fuel these reactions all along.


Its not a race issue, its a dick issue.
