I was speaking in general. Sometimes they get it right just not every time. A lot of junk being sold.

How much agitation do you think you really need? When you started cleaning you only agitated with a grandi groomer and possibly did a good job. All of the agitation equipment out there only replaces what the grandi groomers did. Plus today the cleaning agents are much better.
Granted it can be improved upon but that is up to rotovac.

Today's carpets are not as easy to clean as 30 years ago.

you'll have to help me with that one.
I "guess" you're meaning due to cut pile PET/olie crAp they're selling looking like azz no mater "how clean"?

Juices today compared to 30 years ago has made it easier to clean them from a sec8 hack's expereince

Not just different fiber but also multiple fibers as well that react different to a product. But yes more oil loving products today than in the past I think.

I remember mom using the foaming woolite in a can back in the 70s and just vac up when dry. It turned out good too.

Give them credit for actually listening to carpet cleaners.

The new style brush head will be such a big improvement over the old style that has been used for years. It is nice Rotovac listened.

They evidently didn’t agree with all my take on jet placements. I would have cheated closer to the vacuum pick up rather than get as far away from the vacuum shoe as they could. I placed mine about in the middle of the vac shoes. If I were to do things over I may have moved the jet right next to the vacuum pick up. Less time allowed for the water to sit before it is extracted so hopefully leaving carpet a little dryer. However, the thinking may have been to obtain more brush agitation with wetter fibers hoping for a little extra cleaning performance.

In reality jet placements may not make much difference.F424C7E4-DE8A-46A6-A5AD-589272054CFE.jpeg

Less time for the water to sit?

Lol....

Come on, think about that..
That’s why I ended by admitting I was probably over thinking the matter when I said “In reality jet placement may not make much difference”.

More time for gravity to draw water downward deeper into the carpet was the thought process.
Making it too complicated, eh? :headscratch:

How did you accomplish this quad with brush design?
drilled the holes with a drill press and stole the bristles from a regular brush head. The bristles next to the jets are placed so that on a long nap carpet the spray pattern is maximized. When being used the bristles bend back a little and the spray basically hits the bristles.
