Me...and I wish the damn float switch would work. Around half way through the job I have to manually turn it on and dump. Pain in the arse...

I still like my old plexi-glass inline pumpout. I only use it on larger jobs but never lets me down. Also acts as an inline filter too. Because it's see through, customers are mesmerized by the dirty water.

Whenever I had one I used it every time. I have never installed one into a TM I've owned, just already had it.

I did however modify and install one into a portable that works like a charm. And I used it all the time when I was running a party all the time.

My Apex had the Comet. Worked great until the springs get clogged and I hated taking it apart every other week (even with Devastator filter) New TM has the pumpout made by Janitors Closet. Its mounted inside the waste tank (saves space) and is backflushed to keep it clean. I do clean it out when I clean the waste tank. Have had it a year and has never failed me.

It also allowed me to have the smaller waste tank which means more room in the van!

@Matt Wood , do you use an APO?
No

when my tank is full, I empty it and go back to work

APO in my area isn’t needed. If I was in the big city or had humongous jobs where a walk back to the truck isn’t very smart due to the loss in time, I’d get one. I don’t see that happening anytime soon

I’m just trying to trap you into a conversation about you not using a Dev filter. But I’m feeling nice, so I’ll detour my attempts to lure you into my web of deception.

I bet he’s even barefooted
I see what you’re trying to do. I’m not posting anymore naked sock pics for you.

Hey. Did you guys see Rob Allen is trying to sell his Casey Jr smoke stack Truckmount for $40k. Good lord.

I have APO's in both vans. I have not had to stop cleaning and dump a tank for decades. I also don't have to clean out the APO or it's filter for months at a time.

I can extract standing water and do not have to slow down when doing that, as in yesterday. I had a flooded basement job with carpet and concrete.

This APO is a real time saver!

I think I'll just make one. Well,,,, off to Harbor Freight.
Go for it - Talk about a reliable pump (part #120116), I designed and made my 2 APO's years ago (1 for each van), using a sealed electro-magnetically driven high strength rod impeller/pond pump at 30 GPM (PM-1800 model). My current pump has over 6500 hours on it and keeps on pumping daily when we are cleaning. I attended to its filter 5 months ago, and attend to our inline vacuum filter daily, both of which use knee-high inserts to capture a lot of junk so it doesn't go into the recovery tank, but if some does, the second pump filter stops the bad crud.

BTW, I also have a Koi pond and that's how I discovered how reliable this pump is. This submersible pump in our pond runs 24-7-365 (Ohio winters) and doesn't skip a beat.

I use it every time I work. I copied Jim Martins live reel setup.
Hi J. Can you post photos of set-up to show how that works. Currently on truckmounts we use AMT belt-driven trash pumps pulling from bottom of recovery tank, but sometimes they have difficulty in countering the suction.
