I hate price shoppers. They take up so much time.. Then she wanted me to come out to her 2 bd townhouse to do an estimate. I refused and told her $200 minimum. It's like mace to the face.

I had one call yesterday, said I could squeeze her in on Friday. She said she had to think about it. Then she called back and booked because she said no one could get there sooner than Friday. About an hour later she sent me an email canceling.

Oh, and she said her carpet was covered in urine...... She still thought $200 was too much. I guess she could have gone the cheaper route and put her dog down. I gave her Jimmy's number

I love it when they say, "so and so only charges this much". I always ask, " so why are you calling me"?

We are a price driven society. You know in secret that you practice this terrible and misguided effort. Any of you really pay 100% of retail or service price and never question it? Do we really practice what we preach? So misguided aren't we boys.

I don't question a price I'm given by service people.
I want them to be in a good mood when they are working on my stuff.
But I might get several bids also.

There you go, getting several bids only to use the most expensive. Your honestly will go far on this forum.

Everything is price driven. I'm tired of being bombarded everyday with specials, specials and more specials. Oh I almost forgot more specials. You name it and it's got a special attached to it. Just saw one about dental implants yesterday.

Either end of price is exhausting. If I’m buying a shirt, I usually know what’s a good value. Same for a used or new vehicle. I research. When I’m giving my service, I think about the value. I don’t quibble either way. But I can hate people being the janitor!
