I need to replace the grout in my shower-- it looks gross.. But

why should I use this stuff and grout and not just use claulking?-- seems like caulking would be easier.

What do you suggest to fill in a void around a tub.
1/4-3/8" about a foot tapered length. Don't have tile to fill.
Is there an epoxy product that can be used. Also may need to put some sort of backer because of a void.

you can use backer rod if you really need to but thats not that big of a gap. Any epoxy grout will work or SGA or 100% RTV siliconized grout which I what I prefer for just repairs as its super fast and will last many years. Regular caulking sucks

Has mentioned make sure that tub isn't falling and it's not just a shity tile installer that created that Gap but yes colorrite RTV silicone would be the easiest for a rookie to fill that ...personally I would use SGA but a gap that why it's going to be a pain in the ass to learn on

I only charge for cost of product $35 so i can practice. I need lots of practice.

In a nice home, yes i would say it worth pushing it. Gotta put fear in the soft sale. Id imagine charging about %20 the cost installation. Ill take it.

The sga is much straighter. I cleaned it up more. I just dont have the final pics as i needed to get home for sy kindergarten graduation.
