A Quartz likes synthetic just a quarter inch thick completely covering the old 1979 4x4 tiles...

The seem that I'm pointing at is invisible if you're not looking for it..

It's for house flippers. You can put it over any counter top and have a quick and dirty upgrade. Inexpensive Chinese pre-made stone counter top undermined the market for this stuff.


I saw this at a trade show a few years ago. Richter sells stone laminate that is only 2 millimeters thick.

So thin you can bend it.

I did a quick search and found a couple of local companies that install it, so it hasn't gone away.

Today they're marketing as a kitchen remodel done in a day with no mess. Woohoo!
