What is the general opinion now of the original 870

how is the ford motor
Are all the parts still available
How reliable

if you compared it to the Everest 650hp would it be similar ( vacuum heat reliability )

what is the value of a good cafes for one?

The main reason I chose the 650 vs the sapphire 870 was access to high and low pressure cold water

both machines have plenty of heat and suction. I can’t say what the difference is in 500ft+ hose runs because I never used that much hose

reliability? I’m over 1k hrs right now with very few hiccups. whichever model you choose, make certain it has a good car battery. NOT a lawnmower or marine battery. It’ll kill the starter and the starter relay

both are awesome.

Well, what can I say other than its a great machine. Currently have over 3k hours on mine and its running great. I keep the oils changed regularly and Bimba lubed. Any issue I had was a pretty simple fix, like a float going out or pressure regulator being filled with debris (My fault). I would buy it again in a heart beat and probably will.

I assume that you are talking about the 870 is the vacuum the same to you as a 650

What would you say would be a value of an 870 set up used around 2500 hours

Probably around 20k would be a good price. the blower is a copy of a Denver Gardner #5 blower. All the suck you will ever need. the SS is probably easier for employees to use. But i'm not going to get into a pissing contests with know it all idiots. Do what you feel is best for you.

Get him to throw in the Thermal bypass upgrade if it doesn't already have one, I haven't installed one on mine yet, I just keep replacing the existing one until I run out of them.

Doesn't Matter
If the 870 is being used by a single operator it will dump water like crazy. Even the new bypass is not a fix for it. Make sure that it has an apo. Don't bother with a water tank hook direct to a water source because of how much it bypasses. Mechanically they are sound machines just a poor design on their water system.

That's why I chose my 650. I'm able to bypass the exhaust heat so the water is only heated in the helicoil, which would give someone 160-200f, depending on the flow of the wand without dumping

Nothing is more fun than lubing your bimba.

Why is it SS users have to lube their Bimba's ?.
I used HM machines with Bimba's for upwards of 15000 hours and have never had to lube one.
