I have a Mytee ECO, large diameter orbit. So I bought Mytee Cotton pads.
The machine flings them no matter what I do, no matter what type of carpet or hard surface. I use them for my 175.

Anybody using a large-orbit machine with a bristle driver? What sort of cotton pads work for you?

Also check your driver to see if it is loaded with pad fiber, that will cause it to not hold pad well, if it's loaded run the machine on some ruff concrete like a side walk, let it bounce a little pull off the loose fiber and do it again until your happy with the results and also wet the concrete a little first before you start.

Bristle vs velcro drivers... Bristle drivers are not a good option for holding bonnets on an orbital. Orbot uses velcro instead. It works well. Velcro drivers produce a strong grip with no bonnet fling. Bristle drivers are less destructive to the bonnets, but they lack holding power.

Funny, the bristle driver chews a ring In everything. I have considered making my own velcro driver.

A Trinity will ruin that theory...

I like both velcro and bristle drivers for different reasons, they each have their pro's and con's but I liked the pad driver on this machine the most. CX picture.jpg

If you haven't already broken your pad driver in by running it a few min on some concrete then you need to do that, it will help not tear into your pads as much.
The larger orbit machines and bristle drivers are just going to rougher on pads, you need to try the pro cotton ironman pads.
