Best residue remover?

Raspberry cordial stain on wool..



removed the staining, presprayed with soap free and extracted with acid rinse turned up.

Went over it multiple times, but still a slick mess from what the homeowner used


what are some of your methods/products to remove excess residue?

Spray liquid defoamer and rinse with water. Or spray with volatile solvent and rinse with water. Careful with the solvent as it can delaminate the carpet.

I didn't have any defoamer on me

this wasn't really foamy just really slick, think defoamer would still work?

had good success with soap free before but not today

something non water soluble???

don't see much wool in the projects and trailer parks
so I might be showing my ignorance...

But I'd try flushing it with a hand tool like PMF's 4" flood jet tool
(obviously PSI and heat caution is needed not to jet distort fibers)
But that tool gives a more concentrated flush

or rip it with heavy chop strokes with an unglided wand


or just encRap it like the hacks often suggest....

I've ran into a few of those in the past or no matter what you do that carpet has that slick silicone like feel to it..

most likely if you let it dry it's not going to present an issue but maybe Larry's right throwing OP and a heavy concentrate of pixie juice on there and see what happens over time

"I didn't touch it like you said" I saw it 3 days ago and it had none of the visible residue that can be seen in the 1st pic

The volatile solvent sometimes works better. I use a trigger sprayer with a fine mist and rinse with water.

Acids cut slime, so you may need to up your rinse on this spot to a tannin stain remover (acetic acid) from your normal acid rinse.
