My favorite is the 12" Devastator
Its best for me.

At 6 ft 7 a Prochem 3 jet has been my favorite but hasnt been good for my back so I just got a Sapphire Scientific 12 Inch Quad Jet Wand 2 inch tube last week and still havent gotten it out of the box for just over $300
I did try the Devastator which would be my wand of choice but didnt like the whip hose and dont need the swivel and sight tube.
The Mach 12 was considered also.

I cleaned a 3500 sf commercial job yesterday and I switched from the Dev to my Rotovac because wanding was killing my back! I would have used my Zipper, but the brush head was doing a really good job.

I have less than than that on Toms wands yet I can I can say from a performance point of view, you can't get better than a devastator. Not always best for the job at hand though. I find myself going to a glided aw29 for tight quarters.
The best wand is the one that makes you money......

He loves talking about wands though. What he and so many others do not talk about is proper wand technique. Knowing the limitations of the extraction equipment they are using when it pertains to flow and recovery. Proper set up on lift and checking for vacuum leaks. Then with the success of knowledge you can spoil yourself with a nice wand. Be awesome with the AW29 first. Then buy a Devastator and join the 1%.

I like the pmf 802 better than the aw29, both are similar to jet wands with the build quality on the 802 and the way they mount the jets is much better

I have an 802. I'll have to order some glides for it before it will be usable. It's the one with the heat shield.

I’m not going to pretend to know about the 802 but I’m sure you’re right.
What I do know is that a kick ass wand doesn’t make a good cleaner clean better, it makes them happier.
A kick ass wand will also prevent a 30 foot javalin toss after an irritating job.
I was hoping someone would mention the 802. I put over 1k hrs on one and it served me well.

I wasn't sure if I was going to keep it or not, have to sell a wand with my dodge tm but with a glide it might be practical. Would John have them?

I'll give him a shout tomorrow. The wand is in good shape otherwise. I can always throw an old aw 29 or a steamway wand in the old tm.

I think wands matter, especially when you need to maximize every bit of airflow your machine provides. Like an idiot, I bought two different wands last week, and Ma12 with a 2 inch tube and a dang version 4.
I have four jobs today, so they are both on my truck. I’m sure I will prefer the Dang. Although the Mach 12 is all really good value for its performance. It just doesn’t have any other fancy features.

Why would you need a temp gauge on your wand?

I have the cash to upgrade, but my 100-150 hose runs don’t need it.
My 18 HP motor, with the hot water cycling through the water box, makes really hot water.
Mike, your 370 has a 20 HP motor. The difference between a 36 and a 45/46 blower is minimal unless users go above 150 feet, which I never do. Even then, the difference is minimal.
If your TM can do 220 at at the wand, then mine can easily do 5%-10% less than that.
With my Dang wand, I easily get 200-210 at the wand.
My sales guy wasn’t wrong when he said all TMs are the same at 150 and less.

Working maintenance at a milk processing plant late 70's one of the operators wanted to speed up a Reeves varidrive speed controller on his machine so he could make production earlier. He never could grasp that that accelerated other maintenance problems.
The fix in this case was to add a little mechanical stop to the Reeves control....and then slightly bend the speed control needle so he'd think he maxxed it.

don't take a pic of a temp spike
look at what it is while cleaning normally
and if you have a meAt thermometer, put it in the jet spray at the distance it hits the fiber
and really get a surprise
