For the record, Scott has retired from Aramsco, and is now teaching one class a month. He also offers his services as a "Technical Guru" for a RIDICULOUSLY low price. I posted awhile back on here trying to gather some information on the differences between acrylic and urethane coatings, and didn't have much luck. 30 minutes on the phone with him, and I got flooded with information overload. His mind is still sharp as a tack, and he's remarkably helpful with laying out the basic structure on any given topic, and then letting you ask questions as necessary to fill in the details.

If you have technical questions, reach out to the guy. He's an amazing resource, and with everything going on in his life right now, is considering "full" retirement in March.

Scott has long been my “go to guy” for a number of things. His knowledge is perfectly balanced with a sense of humor and humility that makes him a pleasure to talk to.

No I left that out. I'm using the list recipe that was found in the 1963 date book. It really tastes damn good.

Yeah I forget who it was but they did a bunch of experiments with the leaked recipe and found that MSG was what made it closest to what we know as original recipe.

edit:

Fred, I was right there in the store with my hand on the MSG. At the last second I decided not to do it. Glad I did.
