I use the white brushes on rugs and carpet as instructed..
But sometimes i wonder if the blue brushes would be better on trashed poly carpets.

Anyone have experience with this? Would it be a mistake?

The blue brushes are a middle ground brush. Light commercial/heavy residential use. If you purchased your white brushes in last three years or so, they are softer and good for delicate carpets. (Older white brushes are same as current blues as we changed the colors about three years ago from white to blue).

It depends on which white brushes you currently have as to whether the blues would be a step up in aggression.
Here is our current brush lineup-

White = delicate/soft
Blue = standard
Brown = aggressive

And is that for all machines, and what happened to the black brush

The old black delicate brush for the 10” is now white.

Currently, the only black super stiff hard surface brush we have available is for the pro 35/45 (Brush pro 17/20)

CRB is so yesterday...
(In my best sOOper voice)

I had a Host CRB decades ago.
Had a big heavy shampooer machine
(think it was Advance brand) single roll brush
I used for pre-scrub.
Used a Cert Pile brush to scrub with a time or two too

Nothing new about roll brushes .
They just don't compare to a rotary for shearing soil off a com or poly rag.

I get why folks like 'em.
(beyond Mike hawking them)
who wants to tote a 100 rotary in and out and up stairs* when a LilPeeder brush is so much lighter
BUTT..if it needs a scrub, go with what's best at shearing soil

*years ago, summer, long day, last job an empty with quality white nylon in need of a scrub to get it back to tip-top shape
THIRD FLOOR
Hot, tired, I ain't dragging the rotary up these stairs.
I used the Bissel vac to scrub.
It worked pretty well, but "I" knew the rotary would be been superior.
I felt a little dirty knowing that
(til I cashed the check and got over it)

If a carpet is that bad I'll use an RE.

My 10" gets used mostly for hard surface.

Occasionally the matted Poly.

It stays on the truck unlike the RE and 175.

The OP stays on too.
