Yes, Heavy soiled astroturf for added agitation and picking up larger objects that the vacuum cleaner didn't pick up

our Ti was notched for quick change slot n hole.
so cleaning gritchit got rinsed off fairly regular .

If it hadn't of been notched, I doubt it would of gotten taken off much if at all

I’ve never cleaned a carpet so bad That I felt the need to remove the glide. And I’ve done some crime scene worthy carpets.

you don't know what you don't know.
Unglided wand cleans cut pile (in particular dense/quality cut pile) deeper/better

I read this thread wrong though.
I was reading
"do you take your glide off to clean it" (the glide)

we didn't clean with the Ti unglided.
(with the exception of side by side evaluations I've done)
Too much of a man killer to push w/o glide for whole jobs .

for ungliged, we'd grab the flush monster floodjet Steamway wand
(or AW29 if jet distortion was a concern )

or just roto scrub it first

I hated cleaning carpet in 1997. I did it for two years with a prochem quad/without a glide, working for only $8/hr cleaning truck stops, chinese restaurants, and hundreds of square yards of carpet at closed offices.

My first year in my own business after working for that dude, I bought a aw29 and started to like cleaning carpet, even though it didn't have a glide.

Then the PMF 802 with the black glide was used for several more years. The improvement was being experienced

After that was the mach12 teflon glided wand. A little better performance.

Then came another prochem quad. This time was with a slotted glide and a rear lip glide back and forth for a few years. It cleaned the best, but took the longest due to the size of the head.

So I bumped up the size to a mach15. I used it for several years until I bought my Everest.

The prochem Titanium with the Slotted Green Glide. I don't plan on using anything else. From 1997 to now, I think I did a terrible job wanding in the 90's, lol

I haven't found that unglided wands clean any better. I think that's more of an illusion because it's harder to push. A glided wand is so much easier to pass repeatedly over a particular spot or traffic area.

so?
I determined 25 years ago most CC'ers don't know what they think they know.

Most think they do "great" work too.
The go thru the motions and get good results, and can be wonderfully succe$$ful.
But don't have the intuitive observation skills

That sounded mEEn
It wasn't meant to be a dig, I promise .

Just that when I hear so many tell me a scrub with pixie dust looks better without the rinse, I'm forced to conclude they don't know what great is and looks like
