It all makes sense but so does her argument. She said I am too old, less carpet in homes here, more wood floors, nobody to give it to, my kids don't want to clean carpet or run a cleaning business.

Back to the sidelines.🙂

Way and making money for yor big
Trip to Hawaii......then you'll sell the truck for a nifty profit.....

Belts to the second unit from the first very easily!

Carpet cleaning
I was thinking maybe furniture cleaning for you Richard. All you would need was a old Kleenrite 214, a couple different furniture tools and some cleaning chemicals. Specialize in hard to clean fabrics and get others in the area to refer you.

That's how I would do it if I decided to semi retire.

I thought of that early on.

The thought of hauling in and out a portable is a put off. Maybe I could complete a piece with a 5-gallon jug of water but if its multiple pieces, I'm back to the bucket brigade.

I've just become spoiled with a TM.

Have you ever used the Kleenrite 214? We used to have dedicated crews cleaning only upholstery and drapes using them. The really aren't that bad lifting in and out.
Yes we had one. Loved the heat but the tank sizes meant a lot of dumping and filling.

The 320 was a beast but I could get more cleaned with it.

If Mikey can be a padder maybe I should just use a pump up with juice and a car buffer.

Naww I can't do that! 🥴

We still have a few of each of those machines. They were certainly built well!!

For the higher end stuff you ideally would be cleaning, you probably wouldn't need much filling. At least that's the business model I have in mind for myself if my current gig doesn't work out. I've only been here for 31 years so I am still seeing if this is the right place.
