I get random emails from individuals pushing CLO2 and supposedly making a prespray with it. Is this stuff for real or is it just hype like every other prespray?

It is very effective on skunk odors.

Results on urine odors are variable, depending on how much urine there is, and what type of material the urine has contaminated.

I've tried to get it to pull color on fabric samples I have here, and it hasn't. I am aware of some issues with color loss in the field, but I assume the product was used improperly.

Would it be suitable on upholstery?

That's why I was testing it on fabrics.

My one concern is that I only tested it on new samples that I had, then stopped doing further tests when some more pressing matters befell us all last March.

Unless you are dealing with a skunk odor, I think there are safer alternatives for deodorizing upholstery fabrics.

Now that things are settling back down, I'll get back to some testing on older fabric.
