He said " folks everything just changed " referring to the 9/11 attacks. I have learned to listen to people who can tell you where they were standing when Pearl Harbor was attacked . He was of course right, and three years latter I sold my security guard business off after it quadrupled in value overnight. That decision hailed back to his comments about " there will be a lot of companies that don't survive this but there is also a lot of opportunity that you have to search out and fight a little harder for. " Again he was correct on that and the same advice applies post pandemic or delta variant / covid 2.0 , you can thrive and NOT just survive if you preserve. That's why I file my notes from these classes, conventions and key conversations. History really does repeat itself.
