I talked to a cleaner who has a janitorial business.
One of his accounts is MMI - Motorcycle Mechanic Institute.
I asked how he would clean the transmission stain out.
He said he would test an area using oven cleaner.
He said does on CGD, and it works. He said he would soak a bonnet (picture to follow) and hit it with that.

I bought one of those pads and tested it on a dirty carpet job I did.
I don't know about the tranny fluid that demo is on the 5th of July, but I love what that soaked pad did.
It was quick, not the five minutes hitting the area.
Followed with a microfiber to pick up.
To make things even better, when I washed the pad, it came out like new (whaaat).
The carpet in picture wasn't completely dry, so it hasn't lightened up completely.

Shitty wand skills will only get you so far Mr Spicoli.
Demo is on July 5th.

I'm thinking of using Rotovac 360i, follow up with Trinity.
Just Trinity in other area.
They said it's permanent, but see what you can do.
This will be my school, that's why I'm asking for advice.

They just want it cleaned, but see what I can do on transmission spots.

I hate oil/petroleum spills on olifen/poly

Oven cleaner??
good ole lye .

I've heard a lot of different things.
Another guy said to try Windex.
It's olefin, I'll test, what can it hurt?

It's been truck mount cleaned.
I'm assuming if it could be taken out, it would have by now.
This is a playground.
Worried about rest of facility, still want to experiment and learn.

many things will emulsify oils ...like degreasers.

oven cleaner (strong concentrations of lye) would do it too.
I don't know what effect such strong concentrations of lye will have on carpet though

here's a little info on lye

Olifen and poly repeals water, but sucks up oil.

Reason I hate oil on poly/olie is that it's tough to rinse 100% of it out ....and recurring spots can appear weeks/months later

We have a customer who's VERY successful! Operates a multi location company cleaning a lot of commercial carpet. He uses Cimex machines, Orbot Vibes, and TruckPort extractors. When they'd perform HWE, for a long time they would pre-treat the carpet with lye. Apparently, with no detrimental effect. I questioned him about it many times, but he insisted that lye worked better than anything else he treid. He simply loved using lye! It freaked me out personally. And after a bit of coercing I finally got him to try CTI Firestorm for those applications. He liked Firestorm, and that's what they now use instead of lye. Long story short, I guess it's no lie that lye works.

Yessir ....since before we were born too
It would be in heavier doses in more cleaning products today if not so caustic.

30 years ago Bridgepoint's liquid Flex* was a wicked potion aimed to handle ratty olefin.
They changed the formulation in the mid '90s(?) and eliminated the sodium hydro ...and it didn't work as well after that.

*pretty sure it was BP Flex

I'm sure lye would kickazz on grease 'n oils.
But not sure I'd send anyone out with a jar of draino to mix pre-spray or booster .

Hi Rick,
does the Firestorm need to be rinsed out, or can it be used with the Cimex?
pH?
Cheers,
Shorty.

I got back from moving my daughter out of state.
Went the morning for the scheduled demo/cleaning, they cancelled.
I found out they wanted the place cleaned because the business is for sale.
They have a buyer who agreed to the asking price.
Present owner cancelled the demo/cleaning.
Said talk to new owner once sale goes through.
