Yellowing. Please help

I did a white couch , and it yellowed. I need to fix it on Thursday. I used TMF rug smack and no rinse. I think my PSI was to high at 400. I used a rotovac sheer dry . Any advice?

Rinse with an all fiber acid rinse. You should be okay. Or even just an encap solution. It should brighten right up. Don’t stress. You got this.

Unless the picture doesn't show the extent of the yellowing, this looks like a very mild case of browning. Damon gave you good advice.

Mist it with a neutral encap product (not all are neutral) and go over it with a towel and orbital buffer and you'll likely solve this and also remove some additional soil. A few have peroxide built into the formula, which might help knock down the browning if it is more severe than the pictures show. Just be sure to apply it evenly.

If that doesn't work, I have some more involved procedures to fix it, but I doubt you'll need them.

It doesn't look like your psi was too high or it would have browned everywhere.

It looks like it could be technique, if you're pulling back across the seam and leaving more water there than the seat area.

I would also say that it might be prevented especially on light colors if you vacuumed the seam or any area the fabric is doubled over, more thoroughly.

You could also try extra drying with a terry towel or hand bonnet to pull as much moisture as possible from that area.

I have it on good authority (Aaron Groseclose, retired instructor) that he once taught a in-house class at a large, San Francisco based franchise and a technician used a Hydroforce to prespray upholstery during the hands on session of the class.

I think the poor guy nearly had heart failure.

This practice has been around for decades it seems
