Usually I test wands for half a room or so when I'm tweaking Glides, some I can hardly stand to use for more than a few strokes.


But this damn AW29 is actually a joy to use.


At at 500 PSI with "just" 4 flow, its cleaning exellent and drying AMAZINGLY!

The head is an inch higher than ideal, no window of course, dont miss the swivel (only 14" wands really need one), its a tad heavy to carry around but once on the carpet, it's easypeasy.

I don't believe most adjust PSI up and down on the same job enough times on enough different carpets to "know" know.

At a recent event I had asked a very popular YouTube carpet cleaning guru to turn out this pressure so we could demo the hard surface glide, 5 minutes later he hadn't come back from his truck so I went to see what was up, he was fiddling around with the vacuum blower lube cap and staring at his machine like he was looking at it for the first time, turns out for the first time in 16 years he actually thought about adjusting the pressure. The pressure. He's been cleaning everything at 630 psi for 15 years...

I used a AW29 for 30 years and loved them/ Now the next excellent dinosaur that works really well is the original kleenrite upholstery tool.

That was an excellent handpiece, and still is. I bought a brand new one four or so years ago. Great for cleaning bullnoses and nook's and crannies.
The first thing you should do with it is remove the four screws holding the two pieces together and dunk them in NeverSeize. Eliminates the headache of the dissimilar metals freezing together. By that, I mean the screws to the aluminium body.
