Got my VLM arsenal complete. Added a phoenix and a step dad to my odyssey.

If the results weren’t spectacular and my customers weren’t thrilled, I’d keep pulling hoses like you closed minded tools.

You were too busy wasting your money on all those different wands with that little machine in your van, when you should've used that money for a down payment on a machine that can hold 200F atw that would give you noticeable results.

I'll never understand the concept of buffing a diaper on carpet, hiding the dirt

You don’t know what you’re talking about.

There is nothing wrong with my results using my “little” TM.

I run it without an in-line filter or basket filter and just clean out the tank.

At typical residential hose runs, I get 170-180 at the wand all day long at 6 flow and I doubt you’d notice much difference between mine and bigger machines whose soul purpose is using longer hose runs. Lift is lift.

Anyway, I digress. My customers are king and it’s almost an everyday occurrence to see posts on Facebook local groups with people recommending me more than they normally do, simply because they love dry carpet in an hour or two and that it seems stay look cleaner for longer. Which is true.

One customer posted talking about how she believed her carpet actually looked better the next day, which also true with properly done VLM.

Keep in mind my customers are upper middle-class to semi wealthy.

ps- High quality MF and cotton pads hold lots of dirt. The proof is in the washer.

I did an empty rental the other day using VLM and it looked great, was dry when we left. I didn’t want that place closed up for a week with wet carpet and the air off.

Used HWE in the next house and while it was clean, it wasn’t close to dry. #4 blower and 75ft of hose, 250psi, LG #4, air movers, dry passes… nothing else you could really do to hasten dry times. Didn’t look or smell any different than the Trinity and microfibers or even a 175 and bonnet would’ve had it.

I can see where a higher class of client would prefer VLM. No stupid hoses, no wet carpet, the guy doing the work isn’t drenched in sweat from doing aerobics for the past 3+ hours, looks as clean as HWE, the cleaner is done in half the time.

At this point every time I use the truck mount on a job that isn’t particularly soiled, I think to myself- WTF am I doing this for?

Have you ever used a full size tm on a full job?

I’ve used your size tm for several years and yes, there is a noticeable difference.

I also want to challenge how long it takes to do a job on a buffer vs a real truckmount. I’m pretty fast on a job.

Yep, I’m generally faster with the truckmount.

That’s not the point.

I was about to buy a 570 a few years ago and then spent the day with an owner in Columbus.

It was really nice and hot… but didn’t seem at all night and day from mine. At least not at 100-150 feet.

Again, not the point.

My customers love almost instantly dry carpet.

My customers love that the day of the cleaning isn’t the best their carpet will ever look.

My customers love that I’m not the typical Joe the Steeem Cleeener.

My customers love how they can continue their day because my process isn’t freakin’ annoying.

Most of all, my customers love my dumb ass and trust me. That’s why we talk about their kids and jobs and I have dozens of garage door codes and just go in to clean and the check is on the counter.

Keep in mind I used my truckmount on virtually every customer since late 2018. Most of my jobs are repeats and I don’t know one of them who doesn’t prefer my new method.

Thanks

Judson Laser setup to run on propane, I’m in a small town, located precisely in the middle of nowhere, in southern Ohio called Hillsboro.

Once my son turns 18 and finishes school, we’re going to try to move closer to Cincinnati or Dayton. There’s no future for anyone here if you didn’t inherit land/money, have a government job, or make your money elsewhere then retire here.

I’m very familiar with the area. Great grandparents had a farm forever.

Sad what’s happened to those little farm towns.

Is the Ponderosa still there?

It wouldn’t be too bad, had there been a little more industrial base.

Where was your family’s farm?

We moved here when I was 3 from Carlisle. Dad was a journeyman machinist and Mom worked in the billing Dept at Middletown Regional Hospital. They sold a nice, big house with an in ground pool to buy a farm down here around ‘84.

Can’t remember the road, but it’s a state route a few miles out of town. I remember Brush Creek ran behind their property.

My great uncle also had a farm almost across the road from them.

They were on the south side of the county. Maybe 136 or 73?
