Which would you choose, a TOPS Padman or a 24” Cimex with an onboard sprayer added? Why?

I have a 19” Cimex and a Phoenix and I love ‘em both. The Cimex for it’s great scrubbing action and the Phoenix for its versatility. They really compliment each other well on larger commercial and get the job done fast, but I’m always looking for ways to save labor.

If you’re adding and you have large enough commercial, Cimex. Not sure it’d be a 24 though. When Desk Jockey (Chavez) did it, he just added Cimexes.

I have a half dozen 175 machines. They’re handy to have around and versatile, but way too slow. They also wear the operator out faster on carpet than a wheels down machine.
I've used a 24 inch Cimex twice. Very fast and powerful. Also very heavy, I hope you have a good ramp for your van. I have never used the Padman. Is it much larger than the Phoenix as far as the cleaning surface?

I’m not sure about the pad size on the Padman, but it looks like it can run at a pretty fast clip. From what I understand you can crank the RPMs up and that lets you move faster, while still cleaning effectively.

Have they improved the gravity feed solution valve on the Cimex?

Last time I used one it leaked a puddle of soap every time I parked to refill it.

More than 3 shakes, it's considered playing with it..

Are you sure your tank didn't have a crack in it? My 2 Cimex had cracks from age.. 1 still has a crack but I only use it on the wash floor for scrubbing..

I miss our Dual Speed 175/300rpm scrubber.. You could cover quick ground on 300rpm.. I didn't try it with encap only UltraDry low moisture system.. If you got that carpet mask they use for renovations and they don't take it up within 30days, UD would remove the sticky residue.. But it takes a little more effort than encapping..
