For decades now I've been using solutions pro(now GSD chem inc.) activ100 and is a great emulsifier but i just received an order for 125lbs. This emulsifier was fairly inexpensive @396.00 but the 212.00 in shipping is forcing me to shop it. I use 2cups per jug (and meter @4gph) thats 1lb per jug (i measured it tonight ) thats $4.85 per5 gallon jug or $.97 per gallon rtu looking for something maybe i can pickup from my local supplier and save shipping but more importantly it has to be at least as good anybody got any suggestions love to hear it i got 5 or so months before i have to order again but im shoppin now to see what's out there or is this still a good deal?

Soft water
Got that too, all my vans have water softeners, but here's a fun fact. Did you know that every 6 to 8 years you need to change the resin media in your water softner? The size of the old prochem style softner in my vans each take 1 cubic foot of catatonic A4000 resin beads (no gravel in bottom) . Chances are if your softner is older than 8 years, and you haven't done this its just taking up space and wasting salt!🙀🙀

heres a fun question! Who keeps their van longer than 8 years?
Me , the first new van i bought was a 1982 chevy i got rid of it in 2006 (24 years and 485,000 miles) the van i just retired is a 1993 ford with a steamgeni pto 209,000 miles and 11,450 hours on machine still works but has been my spare truck for about 8 years now and was replaced with my 2000 chevy with steamgeni pto which was my main van till Frankenstein replaced it as my main machine last September and Frankenstein was built from the frame of my 1998 chevy, steamgeni pto and the tank from a 2002 chevy with steamgeni pto even my vacuums are all older my shop windsor vac i bought new in the early 90's the 3 prochem windsor vacs on my trucks are at least 20 years old. If you buy quality and take care of it, it will last. Buy sh$@ and you'll continue replacing sh$@ personally i prefer adding not replacing and yes, most of what i have is more than 8 years old. I designed and built Frankenstein because I wanted a machine that would last 25 years (more)and theirs not machines on the market capable of doing that anymore

I see two or three jugs for a rinse in your van. I gather they are for a different blends; the one on the right seems to be Proxem All fiber rinse. I hate to use emulsifiers, but with your softener system you're in much better chance to leave minimum of soap residue. I use Axiom free rinse only and customers have no problem with the fresh scent that this rinse leaves( I can't pinpoint the scent, maybe fresh linen, ocean breeze, idk)

There's 2 jugs in frankinstien and a valve to switch between the two. front jug is emulsifier, back jug (next to softner) is rinse all carpets are first cleaned with rx20 and emulsifier, then switch to rinse and rinse with drag wand

Yeah, I thought I spotted the switch, I wasn't sure, but it makes sense to have it. Have you tried Prochem Axiom as your rinse?
I tried End Zone; it was all right; it would make sense to use a powder emulsifier or rinse because of better yield.
I don't think I can fit fadedener in my van, but I'm going to fix my house softener and hopefully see some improvement( less chemistry, cleaner carpet)
I'll watch the thread to see if someone comes up with a new idea for an emulsifier.

I'm sure that your customer appreciated the process and the outcome. On this style of carpet, less water and more soil suspension would be my way to go, I'd be worry about dryig time. I understand that drag wand took care of both rinse and additional water removal. Was the carpet barely damp, or you used blowers? I use CX-15 when some of my restaurants get filthy; drag wand makes a significant difference, and so does Bonzer, but I got tired of hauling around 27lbs. of equipment and pretending that I was happy about it.
