that would make this more secure? This is a replacement hose for a Sapphire Upholstery tool. it broke at this point (weakest link)

something like a hose bend restrictor on a solution line.

A piece of clear aquarium type hose ( too bad you didn't put it on before installing the end) it might be a little tight getting over the ends .or maybe 2 or 3 layers of heat shrink would do it thats what i used on my chem pump lines some hoses i completely cover in plastic hose and seal ends with shrink tubing if for instance abrasion could be a problem but generally speaking when making ⅛" hoses i slip on a piece of plastic hose for support at the ends while making um

Reviews say it remains stable under heat
The marine grade shrink wrap is best because it has a glue inside to bond the wrap to the hose (its purpose is actually to further waterproof electrical connections in a marine environment) . Where as heat shrink that doesn't say marine grade doesn't have that

Is this an internal line that uses 1/8 quick connects as a swivel?

yes.

I have to say that each fitting was a bear to get off. Dont know why SS tightens fittings so much. Never had that problem with any other tool

IMO those internal hoses bust because the swivel action from the QD fails from corrosion and stops twisting.

The hose needs to be able to turn (a bit) as you clean.

Keep your 1/8th QD's well lubed with Anti Seize my friends...

Mike's answer above is why I asked.

Most of the time that line breaks is it twists and snaps. Keep those quick connects lubed and your hoses will last.

I think its been about three years since I bought it but never thought to lube the quick connects. The quick connects are also on the Prochem upholstery tool so now that will be part of my regular maintenance.
