We looked at chlorine dioxide 15 years ago. We did not like the safety profile for handling in our plant. Once diluted the safety profile is less of a concern. In essence, any opinion I have would not have facts behind it.
We have vetoed a few raw materials (including strength)over the years based on raw material safety issues. When we used acetic acid we brought in 56% not 99%. Hydrogen Peroxide we bring in 25% and not 35%. We didn't bring in phosphoric acid, methylene chloride, ammonia, rust removal acids, etc. not that you could not make products without significant safety issues, but our workers would be exposed to their hazards.
It has always amazed me that there are a few cleaners who choose to bring in chemical hazards to save a few bucks and not even consider potential liability. One mistake and you will regret the decision for the rest of your life.
