Both.
I especially like (compared to my 34 years in restaurant mgmt/supervision) when you work extra hours on Saturdays you get paid extra. No more salaries with 65 hours avg work weeks, no more holidays or weekends unless I get paid extra! (34 years of every Mothers day Fathers day 4th of July, Easter Sunday, Valentines day, Christmas Eve, New Years Eve, and every Saturday & Sunday most of those years)
And it is nice to get and recieve compliments from a job well done. I hardly ever recieved a thank you or job well done in the restaurant business. There it's just "what have you done for us today", not all any achievements from the past. I talked with an old friend from previous employer and he told me the new requirment is 55 hours work week on 5 days. If they take off early or have to miss it has to be made up, and 2 weeks out of the month they have either conference calls (in store) or meetings they have to attend on top of the 55 hours. However, this is an improvement for them! They used to have to work 55 hours and 6 days.
Textile cleaning is very rewarding!!! Maybe I appreciate it more because of where I came from. Hard work never bothered me and quite frankley this isn't to hard. Even on a busy day you get a break in between jobs, in the restaurant business there were many days I had to eat when I got home from work or stop by a fast food and grab something because I was starving. Ask me if I miss the restaurant business.
