Tomorrow, Australia time, on the 5th May 2013, my dear friend and mentor, Gary H Heacock was tragically killed in a car accident when driving home to Portland, Oregon from an event in Las Vegas.

He was a very good friend of a Hollywood movie producer, Ted V Mikels, from when they both served together on the USS Missouri in the second world war.

Gary was a great friend of this board as well.

His participation at MF's were always a highlight.

When I first started researching this industry in 2008 Gary's was one of the first sites I found. Although I never met him in person I was always impressed with his knowledge and willingness to share it. A great guy.

I never met him but real his posts. He was an outside the box thinker with lots of great ideas. Truly a loss to all!
