I almost jumped in with the group but I think a 10 inch is a bit too small. I have a Host machine which is about the same size as a 15 inch. Just big enough and stairs are a breeze with it. My next will be a 15 inch

Will it replace a 175?
That could be a tough call as there are some that a 175 could maybe pound out quicker...
I have only been using the 10 inch really....lot easier and more convenient to grab as being said....

The 10 won't post bonnet, strip floors, pre scrub greasy build up or polish and hone stone gloors.

If you do commercial low moisture with a cimex this is the perfect tool to get in the cubicles and under things. Love this thing, the rotary is starting to collect dust. Only comes out for the bad ones now.

So Steve, keeping it clean meaning you spray wash it out after removing the brushes? So far I only cleaned it "dry" by rags and brush.

I thinking I over emphasized the need/frequency for lubing.
Keep the shaft and bearings cleaned up. Maybe take it apart every three uses or so. That tiny ball bearing on the shaft needs some grease on it every blue moon.
I certainly like to take my HF gun and get all of the crud from the prior customer off the brushes before using in the next house. You need to be a good poker player to explain why the first two feet created those hay stacks and then it takes another 100 feet to create the next pile. the brushes don't need to be removed to do so btw...

I have cleaned mine by washingthe brushes in the washtub. The white brushes really come clean but the soft black brushes seem to hold onto lint more. I also washed the shaftes in the sink so I could scrub them.
The machine and base I wipe off with a damp towel.
Between jobs will be a challenge to keep it clean. The brushes really hold a lot of crud.

You could get the lint and hair out if you lay it down and turn it on. Obviously the brushes stay in the machine.
Carefully get closer in with a thin screwdriver as the brush spins and hold onto it. That will get a lot of lint and hair out.
Don't let the screwdriver get "sucked" in!!

Biggest challenge is using it wet on one job then go dry on the next, you almost need two sets of medium brushes.

Naah...Just get your truckmount running and suck the brushes dry with a piece of hose.
