I have both the 10 and 15. I replaced the 15 on my truck for the 10 because of the space savings. While the 10 does seem to come off the truck more, unless I'm scrubbing an occupied loaded residential I'm usually wishing i had the 15. Those wide open empties seem to take forever at 10 inches at a shot.

I was considering purchasing a 10 but I do my cleaning with a Rotovac 360i 99% of the time and am having difficulty seeing the advantage. Mark uses his for agitation on stairs but my 360i does fine on stairs and it only requires one pass. Well, then I come back to do the step backings.

I don't get it. Can someone help me out?

we use it for agitation on the carpets that don't need an RE but agitation can still speed up the cleaning process.

For the steps, that agitation is again just quicker and then we use a swivel head modified stair tool ourselves...

For some carpets, the CRB will work better and then Zipper...or we will put a drive block on the Rotovac 360 XL and then Zipper....

Just all depends on what the carpets seem to respond better with at the time....

These are just a some videos I grabbed off my YouTube....

with the 12 inch head?

dont you soak the step below?
The steps below do get wet as you're coming down, but you are getting that up quickly, before anything has a chance to be absorbed. I use very low pressure when doing stairs and so there really isn't much in the way of overflow. That said, it's always a good idea to have an absorbent towel at the bottom of the steps if it isn't carpeted. I do come back thru with a stair tool for the backing and grooming purposes, and also to get any left over extra moisture. When I'm finished, the stairs look amazing and are left with very little moisture.

ETA: FWIW, Rotovac also makes a smaller rotary stair attachment that fits onto the 360i. I don't use it because it requires more work than it's worth, IMO. Rotovac would do well to come out with a smaller gadget for the smaller piece.

You must mean re-introduce a smaller "gadget". It's called a StairPro or Swinger in laymans terms. The absolute best stair cleaning system that all you 'gurus' are overlooking in your quest for the next best thing. Why didn't it catch on?
I liked the results with the StairPro/Swinger so much, that I incorporated it into whole house traffic area cleaning. And by whole house, i mean trailers, motorhomes ,cottages, yachts, crackhouses and mansions to name a few. These units will suck the dimples off a golf ball. To say its versatile would be an understatement of it's overperformance.

But hose cuffing it while you still have it plugged in and laying on it's side will get out a lot too.... Only adds an extra minute to the job...

I've done it too with the 360i... Don't use 400psi and you won't soak the stair (and your pants/shoes for that matter) below too... Now I just do the sebo crb on stairs and shortened PCTI wand for stairs.... I've been a Rotovac user since the mid/late 90's and the RV StairPro been around for awhile... I like to think the 360i evolved from it...... Even though the Owner Cliff created the RX20.... My pops good friend was a investor for Cliff way back when..... I've always wanted a stairpro but my pops would make me use the twin head RV on stairs.... I like to collect tools and let dust settle on them.....:shifty:

Mine came with an on/off switch centered between the handlebars. I relocated it to the lefthandle and now operate it withmy thumb instead of reaching for it every time youneed to start/stop. I also relocated the solution inlet to the center console as a swivel feature. Very ergonomic now.

RV360i owners can just by the $160 head and be good to go.
