Here's a question for everyone?

Would you steam clean first? Then pad cap?

or

Pad cap first? Then steam clean?

If you were going to do a dual process?

Neither would I.

That's because Padcap picks up the last bit of soil that's Removable..

I'll say it slower for the hard of hearing vlm guys, Appearance cleaning vlm, is just that, Appearance.. Post padding helps after steam cleaning from wicking, depending on soil load..

Everything has its place.. And how much you want to get paid and be an intrusion to the customer..

For some reason, they actually think we care what they think

WHY

Because we Don't

It's 2025 and you don't need to FLOOD carpets with gallons of water to clean it today

You can still do it that Way

BUT there is a BETTER Way, a SIMPLIER Way, a More PROFITABLE Way, a FASTER Drying Way

I love VLM !!!

I am so Glad I don't live in their world any more!!!

Makes me giggle !

When a new customer says? He ran a long hose in the house?

And he said his machine is the Biggest and Baddest, Mother F-er in the world lol

Then when I finish the job.

They almost always say?

Sure looks Better than the other guy!!! It makes me giggle!!!

You like using that word to fit your
your narrative. I suppose it helps you feel better about your processes. My PEX 500 don't flood carpet nor does my small truckmount. That's ridiculous and ignorant to say so.

Thank You I get very little respect here but I kinda like it that way

I like the challenge and I like being the outsider
I like the interim aspect of VLM. In the north though after a very harsh winter with all salt, thaw, and debris it's a big turn off.

I'm not trying to upsell but master bedrooms often have a hallway of closet to bathroom not only do they want the bathroom tile spinner, cornered hand tool but all the bathrooms. So then we're at+$300 I wouldn't of been able to charge.

They also see the investment of two truckmounts so they refer me to businesses, cousins, churches, etc.

VLM is a nice option to have and I've cleaned during business hours using this. But with bathrooms, common areas tile it is limited.

Besides interim, Ive used VLM to quickly clean GDC before I reglue/glue sections.

Kenny,
Why thumbs down?

Wet /Dry Vac.

Most homeowners take care of their own water damage?

Do you know something I don't explain, Please?
I'm not even in that business, but I've done enough to know if a HO has #waterdamage, they #ain't doing it themselves. If they have an overflow of some sort yes.

My old company for about 15 years had the contract with one of the largest insurance company in my area.

When we got called out, 30% of the time it was already sucked out by the homeowner? WITH a wet/dry vac....

We average 2 water damages a day.

So do I. I use em all the time. I use em to suck slurry after stripping a vct floor that I have #flooded on purpose🤷🏼‍♂️ I use a 50' hose and a
28" Kiavac swivel wand to pickup
with a simple Ridgid. They have their purpose for sure.
