How many feet of 2” lead hose do you use?

I run 2.5 as far as I can. I have a 10 foot whip of 2 inch.

I believe Greenie will tell you that anything over 100' doesn't do you any good

I have never run over 100' with the 2.5" filter

I'll use up to 50' of 2" in a big house but the sweet spot is 25' 2" whip for my TM. Using it straight to your water claw kicks A$$ though...

Easy, cut another port and you have a second port to run 4-2 the door.... Or run 2.5 like the video shows and you don't need a second port.

the overwhelming majority of our hose runs are under 150ft.
we have one 50ft length of 2.5.
i see no need to buy more

any runs under 100ft are 2" all the way.
It's not worth the bulk and hassle for less than 100ft runs.

note, that's on a 45 blower

My guess is: Joey meant to say they used to have 25' of 1.5" Lead hose and now go 2" all the way.....and yes, it would be quieter at the cuff, but recovery is sure to be better even with a 1.5" WAND.

On my Legend, modified by yours truely, I run 2 lengths of 2.5 into 1 50' length of 2" and find that it's awesome vac compared to what it was at factory settings.

I recently ran 3 lengths of 2.5 and 2 lengths of 2" and still little discernible difference.

Ther is NO way I'd go back.

Thanks for the replies. I think I am going to use 2 vac hose reels on the Steamway box tuck I’m setting up. One reel with 125’ of 2.5” down to 25’ of 2” whip, the other reel with all 2” hose. I’ll order a greenhorn wand and enjoy the best flow, heat and CFM. It’s won’t be a vortex but I think that the performance will be about as good as it gets for a single wand set up.

Yes, from what I've read about it. 2" hose is what I already have. It's going to cost me too much in shipping for 2.5". I make due with what I got.
