man this is a tough crowd. i can't speak to the mytee product but electric motors as a whole are pretty durable. my rotovac twin head went through 4 or 5 sets of brushes and still the same motors. it was 14 years old when we parted ways to another cleaner. i use electric pumps in my hydro system and it runs 24 hrs a day. i got 5 years before it died. if i had serviced it and cleaned out the gunk it probably would still be going.
