2005 Butler System

Carpet in the rear of my 2005 van is toast, has been for awhile

My other van I rhino lined when it was new and opted out of the carpeted interior that Butler includes with their systems

Considering either cutting a piece of. Plywood and glueing carpet to it for the floor .

Has anyone rhino lined an older van?

Fred we have its works fine. If there are flurochemical spills they may scuff it up some to get it to adhere.
I prefer to spray it for rust protection but then just as mentioned we go back with plywood and carpet so you have a flat surface that's easier on the knees.

Will you run the risk of trapping water underneath?

Is the floor still in good shape? I used a roll on product that lasted about 3 years till I sold the 2008 gmc. It was still in good shape. I would take out the fresh water tank and the filter box. Blue tape everything and roll away. I ran a wire brush on an angle grinder first to scuff up the paint. I think I spent about 100 on the liner at an auto paint store. Definitely not as good as a rhino or line x. But for a used van where your not pulling the main unit or waste tanks I would consider it.

I would stay away from the carpet...
I left some in my van that got wet overtime and rusted the floor...

If you want it to last buy the good stuff($$$) I didn't and it scrapes right off.

Depends where the seam of plywood are. Hopefully under the tm is one piece. I've had no moisture issues, I lined the floor then bubble foil(insulation - it's cold here), marine plywood, waterproof glue and carpet. It's worked very well.

I replaced my floor with the same indoor-outdoor carpet that came from butler and then put down heavy plastic office mats cut to size. When they get dirty I just pull them out and clean them.
