2007 Vortex Speed Control Not Working

I have a 2007 Vortex, which I bought new, and the speed control is not working. The machine runs at idle, however, when I turn the dial there is no increase in RPMs. I've been attempting to diagnose the problem, but to no avail. I've thought that perhaps the speed control pot is faulty but I haven't been able to determine that. And if it was, where would I be able to find a replacement?

Is the threaded end of the cable hitting the throttle "wing"?
