I can see the draw of Butlers but why the exclusive parts/distributor?
The nice thing about a mainstream-HM, Prochem, Legend is if you need a part &your neighborhood supplier doesn't have it someone else does.
To each their own...I'm always amazed when I see an Everest humming very quietly, no wear on van, FI, 1gallon for Big Truck performance...
Will Butler buyout Bane and revolutionize the industry with a ButlerBane slide-in??

I have seen 10,000 hours and more. It just depends on how well you maintain it.
How many small engines have to be replaced to get to 10,000 hours?

For the price difference, the highest priced seems the best buy just from what i see. I’m sure they both are, but.

31hp Kawi oil changes every 100hrs > 10k hours.
GM Vortec, Nissan 60+hp in Prochem performer, Everest.
All these power plants are proven and in the case of rebuild will be 90% less than a 5.3, 6.0 GM rebuild.
There's no absolutes here it's just preference. It's nice to get different takes though. Not nice to be the Monopoly dealer like Butler.
MikeyP- How many hours were on your Vortex? What was your Maintenance $$?
Do you do anything to account for the lack of cool airflow to the engines?
I see more complaints about slide ins than I do DD.
I have a 2010 butler I got from Brian and the only issues have been from me and the people I've had do maintenance.
I think I've solved that issue so a 2016 should last me the rest of my career. I'm 60.

We strip out most of the equipment from inside, including the tanks and then have it painted inside and out. After it comes back from the painter, we go over the operation of EVERYTHING making sure the van and Butler equipment are running the way it should. Tanks, shelves and other equipment are painted and reinstalled.
Is it worth it? We have a lot of repeat customers buying our vans because of the condition they are in when they buy them from us. It makes selling them a LOT easier.
