Were still new to WD but most people have waited for morning to call for floods, we did get 2 on Christmas day that we went right out too, although they each said It could wait a day.

I'm all for going out at anytime but we have been lucky with most calls during business hours, sometimes we work till 8 or 9 at night but no midnight calls yet

How about you bigger wd guy's? Do you get a lot of floods in the middle of the night?

Hey Al,

Hope things are good for you. We also went out Christmas day........nice job.
We are by no means big,but our latest call came in on a Friday night at 10pm a year ago.
Otherwise we have never had problems with crazy hours. We are presently working on a couple large
mold jobs and waiting for the frozen pipes to thaw......then all hell breaks loose.

Take care my friend.

Probably 12-18 times a year it's not the norm, but they can be bigger losses.

Most people don't find water unless it wakes them up, so you'll more likely get them as they wake 5:00 AM-on.

Commercial is different corporate buildings have security on the property and you'll receive the call when they find it. Often those are some of the biggest ones because it has run for hours until they check that portion of the building.

We hate those late calls, but they sure pay the bills. We pay the tech's doubletime between 12:00-6:00 AM, plus their bonus, so while they hate putting the time in they like their check come friday.
