oh and by the way

I AM IN FACT A HIGH HEAT HIGH FLOW GUY..... but for you loons that think 260 atm translates to that at the wand...think again..

this was 15 flow at around 5-600 psi....

if you think 240 ATW translates to that at the "fiber" ...think again
You might of been getting a buck-eighty to the fiber

when it gets to the "tearing" sound is when you're at max effectiveness

Don't know what I was getting today, but when I stopped fir just 30 sec I would have to pull the trigger several times as I was getting nothing but vapor and I an sur the water was no hotter than 230 atm. I turned the machine down shortly after and still ran out of water. I hate that.

So you think from the valve, down the hose, to the jets and to the fiber 1" off the floor, and i lost 60 degrees???

mind you i am at 15 flow "big droplets" vs 6 or 8 flow "misting"

Seriously go do it.. though I'm betting slightly better than 180.. assuming linear relationship. I lost 40 degrees with 15 flow 200 to 160. so I would be betting you could be gettin 197 to 205 range.

Floorguy;

Heat loss from the TM to the wand would depend on the insulating properties of the solution hose . . .

and how quickly water was flowing thru it.

I have tested it with only 10 flow on a 5 jet greenhorn wand with Bristor's sheer kit. With 240f at the wand the temperature at the fiber was 210+ and that was outside with some wind. It would be even better in a house. Psi was 500.

The carpet stays hot for several minutes.

I wouldn't waste one minute worrying about the temp. Just look and see if the carpets are cleaning.
