Ill let you know when I see that..
I have 532 hours on mine and I see it every day but you are use to using much bigger machines so it will be interesting to hear your input

But I don't use a glide so your results may very. Glides dry faster because the water doesn't penetrate as deep into the carpet IMO therefor cleaning is lackluster

Vacuum is what removes the most soil. Heat and Pressure sure helps but Vacuum it what removes the emulsified soil IMO

Yes water is the vehicle. It is hard to clean with out water which is the universal solvent and our most important compound

That is why you need flow/water to transport the semi solids into our vacuum system that we encounter on every job

The 'U' shaped pattern that the water flows right back up before it does its thing. This is all just my opinion.

I just think a wand cleans deeper without a glide but carpets do take longer to dry

The glide can create a sheer in some case's, also a glide can make less seal on the carpet. The wand can have less grab, and be easier to push.

A open faced wand will lift the pile better like your lip glide does Mike, thats almost like not having a glide with the wide open slot. not like a hybrid or a holed.

Still with the proper pretreatment and scrubbing and less wear on the operator a glided wand is very effective.

My 12 flow ti is an awesome rinsing wand. with a holed glide.

Yep an open faced wand will lift the carpet better giving you a feel that the carpet is clean. I can hear the increase in suction when I take my glide off. I think if you have a big machine the glide is OK.

I use a Prochem Quad. Your Mach 12 is more like a lip glide so that might be the best of both worlds.

The wand with a glide creates a 'U' shaped water flow pattern

The wand with no glide creates a 'V' shaped water flow pattern

My experience is that the 'V' shaped pattern cleans deeper but takes longer to dry and sure as hell is harder to push

Mike I'm happy to see you come around to a more common sense approach to carpet cleaning. if your a one man show doing mostly residential work, the setup you have is right on the money. I've been using 4 flow for 30 years and getting great results. I'm being told these are different times my friend, I couldn't agree less. If anything the construction of todays carpets can't take a lot of high moisture an high pressure. Cut back the water flow, lower the heat and you won't need the big equipment. Spend more time on the prepping side of the cleaning process. If you pre vac, pre agitate, all you need is a lite rinse. All this is done just fine with a whip hose and small wand. put a small Omni fan in each room and your dry when your done. A side benefit to smaller mounts is they can be a lot quieter and your customer will love that. If there's any body on this board that knows me you know I enjoy the highest end customer base anybody in this business could ever have. From high end homes to 60 million dollar jets, and I didn't get that by soaking my carpets with my so called little stick wand.
P.S work smarter guys and you'll enjoy a lot of years at this and your body will thank you.

Mikey NOW that PMF is involved in helping us.....they made you a TI custom length.....I am sure they have that on file....I will call and see if they can get me a tube that length as I have no idea what it is.

Give me a month, Mike the heads are being machined.......SHOULD BE done in three weeks......when they are, I will make a trip up to your area....I will be accompanied with two BIG nondiscloser THUGS and will give the new wand a try. Isn't Big Jim up in that area too?

Spent a few hours yesturday up at the shop going over things, and how we are going to go about getting them done.

The wand is just a wand,...maximized for air flow as much as possible for our head design, but we have 4 totally new concepts that are going on the wand that I am just super super excited about.....I am telling you all if they all come together and work, like we have drawn out it is going to WARP your BRAINS.

I know that Mytee has had and looks to still have a very well designed head for air flow......I can not say for sure if we will beat it just have to wait and see.
