Anyone else running this engine. Been having problems for 2 years with the EFI. Won't compensate for load when the engine temp is over 180 degrees. My Kohler guy is looking into but no help yet.

what computer is it running? older ones run the bosch with return line, newer dont have a return

I have 2, with bosch efi, but they are with lo hours, no problems

you may try hooking clean vac hose 3-4 foot to motor inlet and route to cooler air?

I have the Bosch system, about 2100 hours. I have already added several cooling fans. The O2 sensor works fine until the engine is at upper operating temp and unit is put under even the slightest load.

Have you looked at the service manual ?

Kohler has it online.

The Bosch EFI has been reliable on our units.

It also has some diagnostics to pinpoint the problem.

Larry, What rpm do your unit operate at? Where is the O2 sensor located(how many inches from engine)?
