Had a great time on Sunday at this clinic. This was like one of our CC get togethers....it's all about getting the work. These guys are session drummers....waiting to get called to do session work, record for Artists, lay down tracks for movies....they each had a specialty. Mike White was the best in describing his line of work....doing session work in LA for a variety of Artists, and he was on top of the call list because of his ability to interpet what the Artist neede that day. His biggest point??....keep the phone ringing!! If the phone is ringing, you're working. Kind of assimilates the carpet cleaning business!

You know...that's about what it sounded like for 6 hours yesterday!! Espescially Tommy Aldrich, who was a "Stadium" drummer for Whitesnake, Ted Nugent, Ozzy Osborne (he got to play with Randy Rhodes!)...constant double bass drumming, cymbal crashes, stick twirling, and BIG hair!! His big thing was very "visual" drumming.
