That's a big deal in the boating world. A lot of guys have fiberglass tanks in their boats add the ethanol eats it. Most marinas have an ethanol free option but it's usually .50/.75 more per gallon. I run the cheap shit lol

the independent Marathon(?) at Ravenna Oil (where Chestnut dead ends into Lake st Ravenna) sells ethanol free at "normal" prices .
Only station I know of local to us that does

I run ethanol free in all my equipment. Only in the truck when im getting it for the equipment. It does make a difference, just not huge in the van. More btu's in gas than corn alcohol.

We have always had that option here because of all the boating. Corn/food is a lousy fuel.

Alot of people are very misinformed about the benefits of ethanol fuel. It has its problems in the wrong applications, but any new vehicle sold within the last 10 years is designed with ethanol in mind. Some of the faster turbo cars I've owned make 15 to 20 percent more power on an e85 tune. Dyno proven results. I wish I had a local e85 station. With the correct fuel system you can run more volume of fuel, and it cools the combustion chamber significsntly better than "clear" gas. That allows you to add timing without detonation.
Obviously power equipment or boats that don't get run regularly or classic vehicles with really old fuel lines benefit from clear gas.
Don't knock it unless you understand it.

Will the clear benefit the truckmount though?

This is good news for small 4 cycle too. Ethanol free is a dream come true for lawn care operators. Many were paying a huge premium for it in prepackaged cans as ethanol kills blowers, weedeaters, chainsaws etc.

Ethanol mucks up throttle body assembly.

When I've used ethanol gas it seems like I got 10% less fuel economy so the price of clear fuel fuel is overpriced by about $0.02 if you do the math. IMO

As I've revealed in the past, I was the first to run my vortex on used vegetable oil and Diesel mixture. I later started making my own biodiesel. And I was a big fan of replacing gasoline engines with diesel engines that would run on vegetable oil and or biodiesel to help our Farmers out financially.

And this is what I discovered.
I was wrong. The production of biodiesel releases methane into the air during its production process. As well as the environmental impact during the planting, harvesting and growing of the crops to produce the Bio part of the diesel.

The scary thing IS, much of America's ground water is being depeted. Its alarming what it happening to the Ogallala aquifer in central United States as well as central California.

It takes 1 galllon of water to make 1 almond. #boycottalmondmilk. It's not sustainable or at least the environmental cost is too high.

since when was 91 premium?

where's your 96 or 98 octane?

91 octane is the lowest we get

same gas, different rating system .
You're RON, we're AKI

Difference between RON, MON, and AKI
Because of the 8 to 12 octane number difference between RON and MON noted above, the AKI shown in Canada and the United States is 4 to 6 octane numbers lower than elsewhere in the world for the same fuel. This difference between RON and MON is known as the fuel's Sensitivity,[5] and is not typically published for those countries that use the Anti-Knock Index labelling system.

I’d like to lodge protest at the concept of “don’t knock it if you don’t understand it.”

Fred, is that kind of anti-anarchical intellectualism allowed?
I second the protest

if intelligence is a requirement to posting then I may as well leave here

E85...

a few years ago I had to make several back and forth trips to Philly in a week (6 hours one way for me)

I rented an econo-box fuel miser car for the week and tracked mileage

I filled up with E85 once because it was cheaper .
It didn't pay, because fuel mileage was substantially less

I just used it in a van I picked up. And did the throttle body thing. Seems to start easier and run smoother. My other truck did better with Walmart brand than seafoam or berrymans.

No issues with sea foam. It works. Several mechanic i talked will disagree tho. Sea foam is meant 2 strokes and such. Modern cars are better off with nitrogen based cleaner.. i think a video was made recently by scotty kilmer saying the same thing. I dunno, i think it works great

had a massive flat spot from 3000-6000 rpm, 1st tank with seafoam made big difference the 2nd released the crazy beast kawasaki intended

Just got my shipment of zmax. Fuel, engine, tranny treatment. Ordered from Amazon but it came from Walmart. Gonna try it on my minivan first. Give it a real test from Olympia to San Diego.
