I am putting a trailer set up together. it was going to be a 6 X 10 but i changed it to a 5' X 8' and i think not having that extra two feet will help alot. plus I dont' need a big trailer because i have a small truck that can carry equip in the bed.
if you have a van and tm then you have to leave it open while cleaning. I will be able to lock up my equip and still run the tm so i will have peace of mind and no body can steal my stuff. also can put trailer in garage so it is locked up at night, cant' do that with a van and my garage now. then i can use my truck for other stuff and don't have to buy a van.
trailer has 5000 lb. axle to carry a 200 gallon poly water tank. it will have electric brakes too. I just don't want to have to hook up to hose bibs at each house. and if i add rinse agent into water tank i won't have to use a chem inject system. they sound like a pita anyway. with 200 gallons i can use a huge flow wand and clean faster than a 06 or 08 flow wand. and if i am running out of water then i can always add a small water softner and fill up at a custy house but only when needed, not every time.
this setup makes it possible to have things the way i want, not the way the van wants. later on i can buy a used box truck and do it all again. I don't think i will ever have a van but most all the houses i want to serve are track homes. and I don't have to deal with snow either. the trailer setup will be good enough to do two or three jobs a day for the whole year except for rainydays.
