I am putting a trailer set up together. it was going to be a 6 X 10 but i changed it to a 5' X 8' and i think not having that extra two feet will help alot. plus I dont' need a big trailer because i have a small truck that can carry equip in the bed.

if you have a van and tm then you have to leave it open while cleaning. I will be able to lock up my equip and still run the tm so i will have peace of mind and no body can steal my stuff. also can put trailer in garage so it is locked up at night, cant' do that with a van and my garage now. then i can use my truck for other stuff and don't have to buy a van.

trailer has 5000 lb. axle to carry a 200 gallon poly water tank. it will have electric brakes too. I just don't want to have to hook up to hose bibs at each house. and if i add rinse agent into water tank i won't have to use a chem inject system. they sound like a pita anyway. with 200 gallons i can use a huge flow wand and clean faster than a 06 or 08 flow wand. and if i am running out of water then i can always add a small water softner and fill up at a custy house but only when needed, not every time.

this setup makes it possible to have things the way i want, not the way the van wants. later on i can buy a used box truck and do it all again. I don't think i will ever have a van but most all the houses i want to serve are track homes. and I don't have to deal with snow either. the trailer setup will be good enough to do two or three jobs a day for the whole year except for rainydays.

donno what TM you run, but they need ventilation ...heat will kill a TM..even water cooled engines .
if you're running an air cooled motor, don't run it closed up, or you'll be blowing head gaskets and cooking your oil

No way can you carry a TM and water and hose reels in a 5x8 or even a 6x10 unless it is dual axel. Never seen a dual axel 5x8 but if you have one I guess you could put a rage or 370 in there with a water tank.

Joe just realize the solutions will then be throughout your pressure system. They may breakdown from extreme heat and get fallout and scale. It will eventually cause problems with your heat exchangers or heater coils. :errf:

I'm all for avoiding problems but you don't want to cause a new, more costly issue trying to avoid what is little more than maintenance on a chem pump.

True! And the pump internals will be soaking in your rinse 24 hours a day. Even slight reactivity with the metal parts could do a lot of damage over time.

my mistake larry, it is a open trailer no roof.

thanks guys i didn't think of the rinse doing any harm. that's one reason the makers do to last step injection. I will only have soft water in the fresh tank so that the rinse will only be half of what it is with hard water. does that change your pt. of view at all? how about using stainless fittings and rebuilding the pump on a reg basis, like every year or 18 months? I like to take care of equipment and want the tm to work great everyday.

John, you can order an axle with different ratings. this trailer is being made by a welder so i got a 5000 pound axle with the same rated wheels and same rated tires. so it will be a single axle heavy duty trailer that i can sell later on without the tm for a good price. the frame is tube steel with cross members directly under the tank and tm. not the prettiest trailer but i think it will be good for what i need.
