ADP Payroll...

I'm thinking of having ADP do our payroll now instead of me doing it through Quickbooks. It's not a bad price, $110 a month. They keep the Fed filing money and pay every quarter for you. They deliver paychecks the day before, or do direct deposit for the guys. Anyone using this?

Or any other recommendations for payroll services. (Not looking for do-it-yourself payroll like Quickbooks). I'm looking at getting these types of things off my hands so I'm not having to transfer money into a separate account and pay the govt. quarterly. The guys can also access their pay stubs via their phones, etc.

Our cpa's office does ours, similar format and they do direct deposit (my wife and I get a regular paycheck as well as our tech. ) I don't trust myself to do my own payroll

My Accountant takes care of this.

We send in our QuickBooks and payroll to him on 1st and 15th and he takes care of everything including payroll taxes....even Simple IRA checks written....

We just started using Paychex. Very easy and around the same price you said you'd pay with the other company. They do all the taxes.

My accountant charges us about $250 per month for everything....

It kind of helps him to keep things tuned up in our QuickBooks come tax time....

Taxes of course are more at the end of the year to prep and file....

$330/month for tax planning, payroll, sales tax. So no.

I dropped ADP for Quickbooks. I spend very little time on payroll. I have money automatically transfered to my payroll acct every week. Service Monster does most of the payroll work for me.

We use Quickbooks. Really not much to do. Any company you use someone has to input the hours. We got a deal through Costco and I have price shopped with other vendors both national and local and no one can beat the Costco pricing. If you are an Costco member, check it out.

Possibly switching to QB online through Costco as well. My 2013 software will no longer be supported by QB so I have to buy new software, or switch to QB online. I'm researching it now to see what it's like, how easy the transition will be and how QB online will work with Service Monster.

We use https://www.surepayroll.com/

Its the self service arm of paychex, we used them forever, Gawd going back to mid 90's.
The offer we used was $50 month for up to 10 employees and then $3-5 month per after. Not sure if its current.

I found it to be a total waste of money to call in the hours, all I do is punch in hours or $$ amount and the tool populates everything else.

We have used ADP for the last 8 years. You are wise to get someone to do this for you.
If you have a good ADP rep you already know they also take on the liability for mistakes and if you get audited they have services that are free to help you.
Our guys love the e-pay and it takes no time to enter the hours into the portal. They also have a time keeping service that is integrated should you choose that. They also handle our Simple Retirement plan. We do an employee match.

We used paychecks for 6 months prior to ADP not a good experience, I did the taxes the 3 years prior for my boys mowing business. After 2 years of penalties I found it cheaper to pay the monthly fee than the fine.

If you have specific questions I am sure my wife Karen would have time to speak with you. She has saved us tons of money and streamlined our business. She told me just last weeks that she might spend 3 hours a month on Sani-Bright's financials & pay roll. Our flooring store is another story.

I used Paychex from 1985 to 89. It was very nice in keeping 7 or 8 employee's paperwork straight, checks printed, and spreadsheets to analyze it all.

That knowledge moved me to downsize out of employees for many years.

I use paychex currently and don't have too many gripes other than their constantly trying to get me to learn how to do things myself. I pay to have them do those things and don't like being told to watch a tutorial on how to do it myself. If I had time to watch their tutorials I would have time to do everything myself! That being said, a friend with a lot more experience, highly recommends ADP over paychex so I will be switching. ADP is said to be better and cheaper if you know how to haggle.
