Two guys I work out with are principals in an engineering firm that's working with Ford on hydrogen technology. They just signed a contract to build a hydrogen refueling plant for the transit system's venture into hydrogen powered buses. By talking to Chris, this technology is developing quite rapidly. Pretty cool stuff they're working on.

Ballard is another company that's making advances in the same frame.

If its a system that needs a refueling station, they're wasting their time.
Its already been shown you can just use water. Fill up from a stream or tap.

Their just trying to make sure when it DOES switch to H2 that they will make some money off it.

I got to see a hydrogen powered Chevy APV over the summer. It's a cool set up, but all the important stuff was covered up. From what I understand, the hydrogen powers a fuel cell, which generates electricity, which powers the vehicle by way of electric motors. The hydrogen doesn't directly power the car. And the exhaust is....H2O.

Wonder how that could be used in carpet cleaning equipment? It would be great for Odin's electro-powered TM's. And Savages.

I'm in planning phase of an electric assist for our vehicles. Basically I'll run a steam turbine generator off of the vehicles exhaust, power will go to a electric assist motor.

I haven't got any idea what my cost to savings ratio will be yet, it might only be a viable solution for high usage vehicles. I'm going to buy used parts for my first Frankenstein.
