ALTERNATOR NISSAN 50 AMP - $907.69 ea. what the heck?

Hey,

Interlink has the Nissan 50AMP alternator listed for $907.69 each. It looks like something i could get from PepBoys for a lot less. Anyone know if this is a specialty item? Or, can i pick one up from the local auto store?

if you have a smaller mom and pop type autoparts store, they should be able to do some number crossing to find a suitable replacement. worst case a rebuild shop can turn it around in a day or two.

$900? Jesus you could by a new motor for that almost.

Run a long jumper cable wire to the vans battery, Then it doesn't matter if your alt goes out.

it can be bought elsewhere for a 1/3 the price. I try to stay as far away from them when buying parts as possible.

I think the Alt you are looking for is part # 23100-H7711 which has been superseded by part # 23100-H7703R. Less than $ 90.00.
