Looks like a Sebo machine made for the Extracta brand of portables in the UK....Don't let Ricky see that, he'll want it!

I used to have a couple of these. They are made by Extracta UK. They have three jets and paddle type vibrating strip scrubbing brush and a 13 inch vac slot.
They are actually a good tool.

Hmmmmmmm. If your going to show a video to showcase a tool, why not be sure it isnt leaving streaks?????

I like the concept, but looks like a PIA to use it. A tool should be able to work in both directions. The need to tilt and roll it forward for each stroke is a deel breaker for me.

I'm not sure that machine was leaving streaks. I think the belt is on the right side and the machine has an inch or so where it doesn't clean - similar to many vacs.

Maybe its just my old eyes, but towards the end of the video when the zoom closer to the unit look past it and u can see many streaks on the already cleaned carpet. These are not the same as the big obvious one on the right side of the head.

The Vac head and jet pattern should go across the whole width of the machine, it should only be the brush that doesnt go end to end to allow for a drive belt. it should not streak like that. Something is wrong, either with current condition of the unit or wrong in the design

Why would you want to use this instead of a good glided wand? Production would "suck" with that compared to a wand.

They dont have a belt drive it's direct from the motor via a linkage rod.
That tool has a blocked jet as they dont normally leave streaks. Its a DIY video anyway.
They also make a 20 inch version that has 3 gauges on it and a small 10 incher.

Thats what I was thinking, if you need to do 2 dry passes why not just use a good wand to begin with.

people would use it for the same reason they use the rotary tools, ie RX 20, ROtovac, etc. so they can skip the prescrub step and go from prespray straight to rinse. Or like the old one step cleaners, just go right at it, no prespray, no prescrub, just clean/rinse.

I saw what Scott is talking about too, and was hoping to be the one to point it out. Scott stole my thunder.

I don't understand this preoccupation with prescrubbing. I might come on one job that actually needs a prescrubbing every other month, or so.

On residential, if even that much.
