Anybody else lose their Google ranking?

After being in the A spot in my local area for several months, my Google local listing can now no longer be found. I've spent alot of time on SEO and have lots of reviews all over the web and today i cant even find my listing. Has this happened to anyone else lately?

Your still #1 in the organic listing, but your map listing is not showing.
I would check to see if your map listing has been penalized. (will be a red warning when you sign in your places account)

I've checked my account and it doesn't show any type of warning message or any alert in red.

I am thinking someone may have flagged our accounts...Notice Priority is gone as well....Our websites are still in the 1 and 2 spots.


They were reviewing my places account and then approved it.

It should only be a matter of time before they are back up....Maybe.

I never got a PM. Can you resend it if you dont mind.

Man Google has really screwed up my account. I cannot even find my places page anymore even though my account stills says its active. Also when I click on "see your listings in Google maps" in my admin section, the information that appears for my business does not match anything I have listed for my account.

I've read on the Google forums that Google recently had some bugs and alot of people lost their places page and they had to restore them from a backup database. Who knows whats going on.

Google Places has been unstable. Mine changed 3 times just today.

Shows 23 reviews on the front page, With 35 reviews showing in the listing. Judy's book and City Search reviews went from top of Google reviews to after them.

Wonder what surprise will come next?

Matt, I was just asking you in the PM if you knew of any "new" guys in Roseville screwing things up.

Anyway, my google places account says "We currently don't support that location" when I click the "see your listing" link.

I'm sure they will come back.

I saw yours dissapear and reappear a few times before it was gone for good.

You can try to email or call Google....but good luck with that.

I've been through this a few times over the years.

Different forms you can hit to get in touch with them but I couldn't start to tell you how to get there.

Generally when they suspend or review and account they give a link to request a reconsideration.

That's how I've gotten in touch with them before.

I know....Google is funny like that.

If it doesn't fix itself in a week or so the only fix might be to open another Google Places account.

But I would hate to see you lose your reviews etc.
